Reese Witherspoon was arrested recently and she admitted that she panicked and said some pretty crazy things. Reese even claimed during her arrest that she is pregnant just to go to the restroom.
During an interview on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” Reese Witherspoon repeatedly apologized for her bad behavior during the April 19 traffic stop. The police report states that Reese asked a Georgia state trooper, “Do you know my name?” and added, “You are about to find out who I am.”
In her first sit-down interview about her arrest, the Oscar-winning actress told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that on this evening, she simply had “one too many” glasses of wine, and panicked after she and her husband were pulled over by the police.
“I have no idea what I was saying that night,” she told to George. “I literally panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things. I told them I was pregnant. I am not pregnant.”
Witherspoon, age 37, was arrested after the trooper said she would not stay in the car, after she was repeatedly asked to do so by the officer, while her husband, the Hollywood agent Jim Toth, was given a field sobriety test.
Toth was charged for drunken driving and is due in court May 23. Reese Witherspoon faces a May 22 court hearing on the disorderly conduct charge.
“There are so many lessons learned,” Reese Added. “When a police officer tells you to stay in the car, you stay in the car,” she said. “I learned that for sure. I learned a lot.”
